Board member eyes Polytechnic College in Apalit

APALIT – A member of the Provincial Board is bent on proposing a resolution for the establishment of the Pampanga Polytechnic College here the soonest time possible. This is to cater to poor but deserving students who want to pursue college studies. Board Member Ricardo Yabut (4th district) said the re solution is aimed at urging Governor Lilia Pineda to facilitate the establishment of the said college. Yabut believes that such an initiative will provide poor graduating high school students an opportunity for a higher education. Based on Yabut's proposal, the construction of the school buildings and other facilities will be financed by the Provincial Government, while the location site will be identified and donated by the municipality of Apalit. (Herbert P. Mapiles) Published in the Sun.Star Pampanga newspaper on February 08, 2011.
